We are a movement of UC Berkeley students who love God and want to share His love with our campus. We want to help others explore their questions about college, life, and what it might be like to know God. Regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey, whether you believe God exists or not, whether you grew up going to church regularly or not even once, whether you are just taking a first step to find God now, we welcome you to investigate your beliefs, grow in your faith, and get plugged into this community.
Our History
Cru (formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ) is an interdenominational Christian student movement, active on over 2,000 campuses in 191 countries around the world. Here at UC Berkeley, we want to be a multicultural community that follows Jesus Christ and takes the gospel to the world. Our biggest hope is to see students grow spiritually and experience changed lives because of what Christ has done for them. Upon graduation, we desire to send students from UC Berkeley throughout the world as Christ-centered leaders for a lifetime. Jesus transforms lives and we hope you encounter Him in a real way while you are passing through UC Berkeley during these significant college years.
To get connected to Cru – consider joining a Community Group Bible study, attending our Weekly Meetings on Thursday nights from 7:30-8:45 PM, or coming to our next Social Event. We also get away from Berkeley for our annual Fall Retreat near Santa Cruz, our Winter Conference, and Spring Break Trips and Summer Missions around the world. See you around at one of these opportunities sometime soon! We hope you will get involved and take significant steps in your spiritual journey while a student at UC Berkeley.
