Filter of Hope is a 501 c3 non-profit organization based out of Tuscaloosa, Alabama with a passion and mission to provide families around the world with clean drinking water while sharing God’s love. Our filters are in use in over 50 countries, but we primarily lead trips to Haiti, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Cuba, El Salvador, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. We believe that people deserve an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty. By helping people receive access to clean water and sharing the Gospel with our water filter, we hope to equip others with a greater ability to break this viscous cycle.

What is the problem?

There is a global water crisis that leaves 778 million people living without clean drinking water every day.

  • 1 in 9 people worldwide do not have access to clean, safe water.

  • In developing countries, up to 80% of illnesses are linked to poor water and sanitation conditions.

  • 1 in 5 deaths of children under the age of 5 are due to water-related disease

  • Water related sicknesses prevent children from attending school

  • Without clean drinking water, there is no way for families to break out of the cycle of poverty
